Excellent Screen Res Long Battery Life MircroSD

Hapaguy 6/4/2021

Upgraded from my LGV40 and couldnt be happier I was worried about the transferring of data but using the built in LG Mobile Switch app it was breeze. I used the cable to cable method and it was fast It even transferred over my lock screens and home screen layout Its been two weeks now and not one problem. I especially like the battery life - I can go two days without charging Dont hesitate to buy one if you are sitting on the fence about it. Hurry before they run out

Ive had the LG Dual Screen V60 Thin Q for more than 6 months. The battery is not that great. The phone gets hot at time make sure you dont have any applications opened. Ive exchanged it also...still the same. The battery goes fast as well. However I love the multi function of it.

Too much bloatware but the last good LG Smartphone

Anonymous Engineer 4/27/2021

I bought the LG V60 ATT ver. on April 5 2021 when LG officially announced its decision to withdraw from the smartphone market. My previous phone was the LG V30 unlocked and had already decided to upgrade to another LG phone. The LG V60 model LMV600AMAATTCB is an excellent phone for my purposes but compared to others it is lacking in some departments. Lets start off with the pros: With the continuing lost of the 3.5mm headphone jack it is refreshing to see LG commit to its headphone jack + 32-bit Quad DAC setup which enhances the audio coming from the music player and from videos and is my main niche reason of why I chose the V60 over other phones. The battery life is excellent with its 5000mAh that can be wirelessly charged or quick charged with the proper equipment. The external buttons for the volume and power have a satisfying click and the overall build quality of the phone is great as well. The large screen is also great for videos and the overall performance of the V60 is smooth and snappy. The V60 is also capable of WiFi 6 and 5G mobile data speeds with a SD card slot for expandable memory. The now-standard USB-C should still be mentioned due to its universal compatibility among newer Android phones and other electronic equipment. It is IP68 rated and is compliant with MIL-STD-810G which should not surprise anyone who previously owned a LG smartphone. Software updates are provided by the cell carrier that you are using which can be seen as a benefit given my lack of software updates on my V30 that should have come directly from LG. Currently I have the latest security update and on Android 11. Now for the cons: The V60 has some downgrades compared to my V30. For one the pixel density and the resolution of the display are much lower than my V30 about 395ppi vs. about 537ppi and 1080x2460 vs. 1440 x 2880. While not noticable from daily use it becomes obvious when looking at pictures or setting said pictures as the background wallpaper. The V60 doesnt have high refresh rate display settings like its competitors who have 120Hz screens with variable refersh rates to improve battery life. The camera setup is decent with your traditional front-facing camera main rear camera a telephoto camera and a wide-angle camera but the camera software is not amazing and the picture quality is alright at best. The camera app UI feels more restrictive than the V30 and pictures are slow to load in the gallary when HDR processing is turned on. The design of the V60 is plain and simple with everything unique about it being in the inside of the phone and the V60s sheer size being a decisive factor that can turn people away increased size also means increased weight. The dedicated voice assistant button was not useful for me and cannot be reprogrammed so at least for me it became a useless dead button that does nothing when pressed. The under-display fingerprint sensor is a nice showcase of new technology but it is not located in a good spot. It is hard to get the exact location of the fingerprint sensor every time even with the light-up icon guide on the dipslay. It is slower than its competitors as it takes 1-2 seconds to register and then unlock the phone. The fingerprint recognition needs work since it complains that it is reading only a partial fingerprint despite majority of the fingerprint being on said location. Lastly like any carrier-locked phone there is a ton of bloatware that most people will not use like the CW app Game of Thrones game app etc. You can disable it but it is better to fully uninstall them with proper Android tools. I only had a few weeks with the phone but overall I am enjoying it so far - maybe because I am simply a fan of LG phones. The LG V60 is a good upgrade to my V30 despite all the compromises made. Given its relative flagship specs and model year the market price of these phones are very appealing. I would like to include that a second display case is available for the phone but I had no reason to buy it. It adds bulk and of course more weight to the phone so it is definitely not an add-on for everyone.

Awesome phone

Rwguenther 4/18/2021

I got this phone this phone on eBay a couple weeks ago because it looked like too good a deal to pass up. Im so glad I did because this is by far the best phone Ive ever had The display has pretty good sized bezels going around it and looks a tad dated with the notch. 90 hz would have been nice too but its a beautiful display none the less. It gets nice and bright and the colors look amazing I also like that its pretty well centered. I dont like when theres a small bezel on top and a big thick one at the bottom. So thumbs up for that. The V60 has all the features I could want. Im kind of glad theres no face unlock. I know its not that secure and that way Im not tempted to use it anyway. I love how you have a choice with the AOD to have it always on or for 10 seconds. I personally prefer the 10 seconds. I think the software is fantastic and Im really happy to be on Android 11 The software on the V60 is really great. The cameras on this phone are great as well. I love all the cool effects you can add to your photos You can shoot pictures and video in manual mode which is something most phones dont do. I cant say enough about the build quality This thing is a tank I love it Nice and big and heavy. Im also not a fan of those screens with the curved edges. So Im glad this has a nice flat display. The battery on this thing is unstoppable Ive never had it not last the whole day. Heck I dont think Ive ever gotten it below 20 percent Its not the fastest charging phone Ive had but it doesnt matter because because I never have to charge it during the day. I play games like cod mobile and swgoh all the time on this thing and performs like a champ I think its sad LG wont be making phones anymore. I just hope I continue to get updates for this amazing phone.

Excellent device

Poorman73 4/11/2021

This is one of the most underrated and overlooked phones. So what it does not have the 120 refresh rate you cant tell the difference because this phone is super fast. The camera takes better pictures than Apple and Samsung and the others there more natural. The fact that it has a headphone jack and quaddac hifi makes it the top winner. It does everything the others do and a whole lot more. Bottom line is this is a great device that deserves way more credit than it gets.

THREE Replacements in 9 Months...

Barb2001 4/5/2021

If I could give a 0-star rating I would. This phone is GREAT All except the charging port... I am on my 3rd warranty replacement after having this phone for only 9 months... Thats only about 3 months of decent use until I get so frustrated I want to smash it to pieces. The charging part starts getting finicky then it stops working altogether. I am careful with the cord I dont use a case that gets in the way and my phones last usually. I have been a loyal LG customer for quite some time. I will not be going back to this phone again.

Please change

ThELgPhONeGuY 3/25/2021

I purchased the LG V60 5G UW almost a year ago from Verizon. I originally had no issues with yhe phone I still absolutely love it. I hate to say but from the recent update it has gone downhill in functionality and is actually starting to seriously aggrevate me. The swipe function has lost its key abilities I liked such as tye swipe up function to close apps that function is gone and now I have several apps and sites open that I can no longer close. The side swipe function has become slightly glitchy and takes me to previously opened pages and apps instead of taking me back to where I started on a single search. The key pad update is a little much too it changes depending on what app I open and is much harder to see and type on. The processors and graphics are still top quality for LG and its just as fast and accurate as the day I bought it its just the functionality of some features has degraded. I understand it was intended to make the phone simpler but it has become harder and so simple to the point I do not understand how to use the phone. I would like to either have this updated to the original or some information on how I can revert it back to the previous update without taking away from its internal functions. Thank you.

Just got mine today and while it is a bit larger than my G8X I absolutely love it. Id definitely recommend since the amazing camera and 5G are both positives for the phone among other more important things like the 5000 mAh battery.

LG V60 for the win

theoriginal15 3/5/2021

SUMMARY: Overall the LG V60 is for you if you want a smartphone that can take vibrant pictures has a 5000maH beast of a battery makes multitasking a breeze with the Dual Screen and has a second year warranty promise Best of all it is priced just right. CAMERA: Despite not having a telephoto lens like my V40 the V60 still manages to take decent distant pictures and excellent close-ups. It has a night mode for improved nighttime shots and it excels at daytime shots. It results in warmer pictures which I prefer due to them feeling more natural than the oversaturation of other brands. Also it is capable of 8K video recording but you better have plenty of room on your microSD card for that BATTERY: The battery of the V60 can easily grant you 23 hours without worry of needing a charger. In standby the battery is exceptional so worry not while the phone is in your pocket and the screen is off. With the Dual Screen attached I still manage 16 hours or so. My daily use includes primarily Netflix Hulu YouTube Spotify Chrome and a few photos from the camera. Keep in mind Im operating on a 4G LTE network. DISPLAY: The 6.8 screen is sharp and vibrant capable of 1080p and 60Hz refresh rates. The 10MP selfie camera doesnt take up much real estate on the front. I have no gripes when watching videos or searching the web. That Snapdragon 865 processor makes apps and pages load very fast HONORABLE MENTIONS: IP68 water resistant microSD slot headphone jack recently updated to Android 11 Quad DAC cheaper than the major competitors.

Great camera but will destroy your texts

DallasLouise 2/11/2021

The default setting is to delete any texts after 200 msgs in a thread - if you use your phone for work that means anything that happened say 3 weeks ago gets deleted. I found this out by accident a month after I got the phone. Turned off that seriously unhelpful default setting and today found the phone had reset to seek and destroy. Now I know I have to check that setting EVERY DAY The 2nd screen works for very few things and you cant do something simple like have a google search on one screen and do another search on the other screen. Nope you have to open chrome or another browser on the other screen if you want to have 2 search results showing at the same time. The hinge on the dual screen is weak on one of our phones it broke within 2 months its now very shaky on the other phone. Not worth the money

Love the phone

Whydoihavetohaveone 1/31/2021

I recently upgraded from a V35 and Im glad I did. Everything on the V60 is super fast. One feature that keeps me coming back to the LG Vseries is the quad dac and the headphone jack. The quad dac gives you a bunch of options to tune your sound to suit your taste which is an audiophiles dream. Most new phones have followed apple and included the notch at the top of the phone and this phone did the same with a twist. While the notchs only real purpose is to surround the front camera you can change the size of it to where its just around the camera or goes across the whole screen like the V20s second screen. The best feature about this phone is the battery. It takes forever to kill the battery. Its quick to charge once you get down to 15 its as if the phone taps into some kind of reserves and refuses to die. I am consistently on the phone and charge it once a day. With moderate use you can go days without needing to charge. The only downsides to the phone are the bloat ware fingerprint scanner and google assistant button. The phone comes with a bunch of preloaded apps some you can delete and some you can only disable. The fingerprint scanner isnt as responsive as it should be and LG should have left it as a button on the back of the phone. Its slow to recognize the print and sometimes doesnt recognize it at all after repeated attempts. Lastly they dedicated a button to the google assistant which was unnecessary. I suppose if you use it a lot then it comes in handy but if youre like me and dont then its useless.

Ugh

Throwaway111 11/20/2020

I absolutely hate this phone. Not user friendly at all extremely frustrating. There are multiple phone camera messaging etc apps on the device which are very confusing. My screenshots save to a different place than the pictures I take. I have to download multiple apps for my email accounts. Apps like Snapchat Facebook Instagram etc lag. And picture quality of uploads is just awful. Pics/videos are always slow the sound is off and theyre grayish and pixelated. Interface sucks took me a month to fully figure out how swipe tap go back etc. Even writing this review has been a pain. I still dont understand how to change settings on autocorrect and the keyboard is a pain to type with. I wish id never bought this phone. I havent even bothered using the dual screen because I dont want to deal with the inevitable frustration. Zero stars.

A feature-rich under-appreciated flagship

wac744 11/18/2020

One of the most feature-rich under appreciated Android flagships of 2020 The V60 packs all the features that you would expect in a flagship smartphone SD 865 IP 68 water/dust resistance rating fast usb-c charging wireless charging ability to record in 8K for video AND it includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack While it does not have the higher 90 Hz or 120 Hz refresh rate it retains the industry stand 60Hz the high-end processor and 8GB of RAM make for a smooth daily experience.

Most Underrated Flagship phone of 2020

LGV60isaBeast 11/4/2020

LG knocked it out of the park with the LGV60 thinQ 5G. I am a lifetime Android user and have always used Samsung devices for the most part. However the price of the Galaxy S20s was just extremely expensive and not within my price range. So I decided to go with the V60 and it was the greatest decision I made. Everything about the phone is fantastic from the battery to the camera dual-screen capability etc. LG continuing to place the 3.5 mm jack in their phones is a huge bonus for me and is a big reason why I chose to buy this phone. The sound quality on absolutely fantastic and the phone speakers are probably the best speakers I have ever heard in a cell phone. My friend has a Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G and has had many problems with it and advised me to get the V60 saying it is way better than the S20 Ultra. I couldnt be happier with this device and hope it continues to work strongly for many years.

Very good phone I have suggestions

Steelew 10/21/2020

This is a very good phone. There are lots of features and very few drawbacks. This is more about suggestions for me. 1. Put the buttons on the right side all of them 2. Change to hole punch selfie cam or in- display variant. 3. Add solar panel to front cover of dual screen case. 4. More themeing options possibly an app to make more themes. 5. Add on option to hide navigation UI to go fully swipe gesture navigation.

From S8 to the V60

Wick369 7/9/2020

My wife just picked this phone out for me a few daya ago and to say Im impressed would be an understatement. Ive never owned an LG phone in my life but I could get used to how well it competes with some of the top brands out there. My favorite thing about the V60 Thin Q is the battery life I could use this phone all day and come home at 5 after work with the battery still above 50. The thickness and weight of this phone is a little different and Im sure adding an Ottorbox case would bulk it up even MORE Overall a great phone with AMAZING battery life and a large but manageable sized screen.

The Worst

Czigg89 7/7/2020

I have had this phone for literally two months and I have had more problems with this phone then any other phone I have EVER had... Honestly the most aggravating thing to have to deal with is that I do not receive my texts after sending a few out. I have to clear all apps... Then clear notifications... AND then restart my phone... My prepaid cheap phone I bought at Walmart worked a whole lot better then this hunk of junk... The dual screen case started to glitch and there was no damage to my phone or case to cause this... If you are looking for an opinion to buy this piece of junk... Save yourself the stress and aggravation and please do not Believe me... You will be thanking me.

Love the LG V60 but always room for improvement

Dezzrend 6/29/2020

I upgraded from the LG V30 to the V60 last week. So far Im loving the phone and there are so many incredible positives about it. *I am only using the V60 not the dual screen attachment.* 1. The display is beautiful. Even at the 1080p resolution everything looks very sharp and the colors really pop on this screen. Dont get too caught up in thinking this 1080p OLED display is behind the times. 2. The cameras take vivid and clear pictures and the 4k video recording is great. There are a ton of features and filters on the camera as well to create some very artistic expressions. 3. This. Phone. Is. Huge. Going from a 6 screen on the V30 to the 6.8 on the V60 is a huge leap but Im already getting used to it although I do recommend getting a pop-socket or something to help hold it when laying down. 4. There are so many different options to customize this phone to your liking. I personally really like the implementation of the gestures instead of buttons. It makes for a very fluid experience when scrolling/browsing. 5. The 5000mAh battery makes the battery life on this phone incredible. The first full day of using this phone after I had re-downloaded all apps and such from my previous phone I only went through 50 of the battery from 8am to 10pm. So far there are only two things that I think could have been improved on the V60. 1. The fingerprint scanner. I loved the back fingerprint scanner on the V30 and the new fingerprint scanner built into the display on the V60 is just okay. It isnt as fast or accurate as the dedicated scanner on the V30. With that said it does work there are just times where I have to place my thumb two or three times to unlock the phone. On another note there is no face recognition biometric on the V60. This is odd to me because even my V30 had this. Personally I have never been a fan of using face recognition to unlock my phone but it would have been nice for LG to have kept this feature for people that like to use it. 2. Using this phone on Snapchat is a bit frustrating. I know this falls on Snapchat to correct the issue but the front facing camera when used on Snapchat is extremely zoomed in. Even holding the phone at arms length for a selfie my face takes up the entire screen. Hoping that this can be improved with a software patch from them. Not holding LG responsible for this just including it for reference Overall the LG V60 is a beast of a phone that in my opinion holds its own against the Galaxy S20/S20+/S20Ultra and at a much lower cost. Even with the faults in the fingerprint scanner I am giving it a 5-star review because this phone deserves it. I hope in writing this review that LG will improve on the fingerprint scanner and bring back the facial recognition to help appeal to a wider audience of preference when it comes to biometric locks.

Audio Recorder button in Messaging

Mleah 6/6/2020

Great phone. Zero complaints other than the audio recorder button in the messaging app. I do not like that I cannot take it off of my screen and it is not customizable. I have accidentally sent numerous audio messages because of its placement. I really wish the next update will allow us to remove it from the sending bar.

Shouldnt have been released to the public

Truth of the V60 4/30/2020

This is the worst phone I ever used period I already sent one back for a second and its failing too. Every 5 text messages I want to send I have to reset the entire phone. You cant open a photo from gallery with the first phone the second one has annoying glitches that only a hard reset fixes for a brief period of time. Im resetting this paperweight of a phone every ten minutes DONT BUY THIS PEOPLE IT SHOULDNT HAVE LEFT PRODUCTION PHASE

Wish some features were easier to use

Tanille 4/28/2020

I love the battery life ive been getting 3 days out of a one charge. But underestimated the size of the overall phone. Some of the features that would make the size of the phone more manageable to use are hard to enable. For example the half screen option. You can only enable it by gesture swiping and holding mid screen. Well in a lot of apps swiping across the screen has other functions so 95 of the time i get a different result then the desired half screen and left frustrated. At this point ive only been able to enable the half screen by accident and usually not when i want it. I really wish LG would make the half screen option a optional button feature on their navigation bar in their next system update.

Wanted to like this phone but life is fickle

craig001 4/28/2020

I have had this phone for a week so take this for what it is worth. First off I am on T-Mobile and got the BOGO deal. Save $100 and get the single screen version. So far the Dual Screen has had limited usefullness and sucks battery power. I has it uses dont get me wrong and mayber I have not had ti long enough I am not a phone gamer so I use the two screen mode when working from home rith now - Slack on one screen and Outlook on the other. It is usefull for that but everyday use not so much. My biggest complaints are the fingerprint sensor - it sucks. My V30+ with the power/reader on the back working much better. 75 of the time I have to swipe and enter PIN. The other issue is the screens - very confusing. I am afraid to sideload Pixel Launcher on my phone and Aviate on my wifes and dont wnat to screw up week old phones.

While on speaker you will cut out like its muted

fluffitude 4/23/2020

My husband and I just both got these phones. If it wasnt for this issue which is a big one the phones would have been 4-5 stars. Having only had the phones for a couple weeks I have not been able to establish a pattern. However while your call is on speaker the person to whom you are speaking will say hello? are you there? I had one person hang up thinking we had been disconnected. Found that if you take it off speaker they can again hear you. Since this has also happened to my husband its got to be a known issue. Very disappointed.

Speakerphone issues

Dre1980 4/22/2020

Great fone cool features however it has speakerphone issues. I have been with LG since the G2 and never experienced this issue. Call participants cant hear me during some calls which results in them terminating the call despite me hearing them. LG help

Overall great phone but has speakerphone issues

cmeharry 4/21/2020

My wife and I purchased two of the LG V60 Dual phones. We were replacing 2 LG V20s that we have had for 4 1/2 years. The phone seems to be well designed. I like the option of a dual screen and being able to fold it back when I need just one screen. When the speaker phone is working it is great - good sound and others can hear us very well. It even does well to cancel the background noise around us. So people are able to hear what we are saying. But frequently when the speaker phone is on all of a sudden it changes - I can hear them but they cant hear me. Sometimes people have hung up because they think the call dropped. When I cancel the speakerphone function they can hear me again. This is happening with both of our phones. While I want to keep the phone I am thinking of taking it back for the other nice features I am thinking of taking it back while there is still the opportunity for I normally use the speakerphone feature a lot with a phone. And as I mentioned when it is working it is a great one. Its just not trustworthy. Has anyone else had this issue? Has anyone resolved this issue? Clinton

not bad but

zman69 4/21/2020

phone is nice still need more time to see if it was worth it. dual screen was easy to to get and unlike what some negative reviews said only took a week to arrive. i really dont know how much im going to like the second screen as its not as functional as i expected. with dual screen it is heavy and bulky and unprotected there is no protective cases out there for dual screen set up. the case that is part of dual screen looks useless as i feel if i dropped this thing it would shatter. also with dual screen it is really difficult to handle accidentally hitting volume buttons or something on the main screen...really not sure it was worth it at this point i hope my mind is changed with time

Three to six weeks for the Dual Screen

Drew2015 4/14/2020

Dont buy from Att and Verizon. You have to wait 3 or 6 weeks to get the Dual Screen from LG. If you must have it now buy the T-mobile version full out and request it to be unlocked. Use it with any network. Dual Screen included with the phone at the time with the purchase.

So far awesome

Wildfire44601 3/28/2020

I just got this phone yesterday and so far its impressive The battery charges quickly seems to be lasting quite well and everything is zipping along. Im coming from an LG Bro and the antenna seems to work better on the V60. I have almost a full signal where I only had maybe 2 bars on the V30. I havent made any calls yet so I cant comment on clarity but Ill update my review after a week or 2 when Ive had a chance to put it through its paces.
